StuckOn attends the Everton v Liverpool reserve game

Last night we attended the Merseyside Derby between Everton and SEO Liverpool Search Engine Optimisation Liverpool, but this particular derby game was for the reserve sides of the respective neighbours, and rather than being held at Goodison Park or Anfield, it was played at the Stobart Stadium Halton, in Widnes.

We were given free tickets when we attended the Halton & Warrington Business Fair at the Stobart Stadium last week, having never travelled to a reserve game before.

Despite the bitterly cold November evening, two first half goals served to warm up the 1,000 plus fans at the ground nicely. Liverpool opened the scoring through (more…)

StuckOn attends the Halton & Warrington Business Fair 2010

StuckOn-stand-at-Halton-Business-FairThis past Wednesday we packed up some of our wares and headed for the home of the Widnes Vikings, the Stobart Stadium Halton, for the Halton & Warrington Business Fair.

Despite the early start and the pouring rain our spirits weren’t dampened and the business fair turned out to be a real success. At the fair we met a lot of great people, and even learned about some new business sectors that we didn’t know existed – this type of thing is particularly interesting from an SEO SEO Search Engine Optimisation SEO point of view as (more…)

StuckOn appears in .Net Magazine

If you’re a reader of .Net Magazine and you’ve got hold of the December issue already you may have noticed a certain SEO SEO Search Engine Optimisation SEO company based in SEO Ellesmere Port Search Engine Optimisation Ellesmere Port appearing in the Expert Advice section of the magazine.

StuckOn article in .NET Magazine

StuckOn article in .NET Magazine

That’s right, offering advice on how to avoid getting fleeced by SEO companies who really don’t know all that much about SEO is StuckOn’s Darren Jamieson. The article talks about some of the ‘too good to be true’ things that some SEO companies say when they’re trying to win your business, such as those that guarantee first page listings in Google, and those that claim to have a ‘relationship with Google’ (these dodgy companies do exist).

The article also talks about those companies that offer SEO on a fixed price, one size fits all, basis. This is one of the biggest signs that a company offering SEO isn’t up to the task because no-one can quote on an SEO campaign without first knowing your industry, your competition, your current starting position and your aims – yet some SEO companies still offer flat rate fees of so much per month, regardless of your circumstances.

We hope you enjoy the article, and everything else in December’s issue of .Net Magazine. If you haven’t subscribed, you can do so here.

StuckOn, not Stuck On You

One question we often get asked here at StuckOn, apart from is your name ‘Stuck On You’, is why are we actually called StuckOn.

The question has two answers, and both are correct. Firstly, the name StuckOn implies that by using our SEO SEO Search Engine Optimisation SEO and copywriting services you’ll find that visitors will ‘stick’ to your website a lot more. The content on your website will be unique, and interesting, resulting in repeat visitors who want to read more, and of course more links as people share your content. Your ‘bounce rates’ will be reduced as visitors spend more time on your website, reading all of the great content.

That’s the first meaning of the name StuckOn. The second, and one we use more often, is a question to the tune of ‘what aspect of Internet marketing are you StuckOn?’. Many businesses have a website already, but only a small percentage of those businesses actually (more…)

How SEO can aid your offline promotion

Radio ExposureLast week we wrote about how one of our clients participated in a local SEO Liverpool Search Engine Optimisation Liverpool radio show following the show’s researchers finding their website in Google and approaching them direct. This meant that our client’s website was talked about on the radio, during a very relevant radio talk show, for around 10 minutes in the sort of coverage that would have cost a lost of money had it been paid for – all because of the power of SEO SEO Search Engine Optimisation SEO.

This shows that SEO search engine optimisation Search Engine Optimisation search engine optimisation isn’t just about getting your website to rank higher in Google for specific keywords in order to gain more traffic and customers.

Instead, SEO can aid your efforts to gain more offline promotion because the Internet is used by many people, including radio shows, TV researchers and journalists, to research their latest stories and programs. When they look for information, leads for stories and for experts to consult, they’ll enter keywords related to your industry into Google. If your website ranks near the top of Google for these keywords, then your website will be the one they find – increasing the chances of them contacting you for the story.

This could lead to your brand being exposed on the radio, on television, in magazines or in newspapers – gaining you the kind of exposure that money can’t buy.

Of course, in a sort of perpetual motion (if such a thing were possible) the example of online SEO aiding your offline promotion can then re-aid your online SEO as news agencies pick up on the story of how SEO has aided your offline promotion.

How many times can the wheels go round?

StuckOn client appears on radio talk show

SEO SEO Search Engine Optimisation SEO isn’t just about increasing your rankings within search engines and getting more traffic via Google (although of course it’s pretty good for that). No, with SEO you can also open up other avenues for promotion for your website, such as print, television and radio.

Earlier this week, the website CSAhell.com was represented by our very own Darren Jamieson on a SEO Liverpool Search Engine Optimisation Liverpool and North West based talk show hosted by DJ Pete Price. The talk show aired on Tuesday night on both Radio City (96.7FM) and City Talk (105.9FM) just after 10pm, and centred around the subject of the website, the CSA (Child Support Agency).

During the show, Pete Price requested that people who had experienced problems with the CSA phone in and share their experiences with the listeners. Pete also featured some ‘expert’ callers on the subject, including our CTO speaking about the CSAhell.com website. Darren explained why the website was first created and how it has grown over the few short years it has been live to the extent that it now offers advice to thousands of people each month. He added that, because the website (more…)
